Senja is home to some of the most beautiful and untouched landscapes in Norway. The island offers stunning views of the Northern Lights, which are visible from September to April, as well as the Midnight Sun during summer months. Our accommodation is the perfect spot for exploring Senja, especially during the winter.

What is our accommodation in Senja like?

The camping area has a total of 55 available spots, with 40 of them being available for drop-in only.

If you want to bring your tent, we also have areas intended for campers with tents. Located in the same area as the tents, you will find sanitary facilities.

Our accommodation here in Senja consists of 9 cabins with bathroom and kitchen, 7 camping houses without water and an apartment fully equipped with three bedrooms and 6 beds.

What activities in Senja can you take part in while staying at our accommodation?

Senja offers a wide range of outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, skiing, snowshoing and kayaking. The island's terrain provides a perfect opportunity for adventurous activities.

Winter Activities

In addition to Senja being a perfect summer-spot, this is also a great place to visit during the winter months. There are numerous exciting winter activities here in Senja! For instance you can go ice fishing, chase the northern lights, try out snowshoeing, go skiing and much more! It is also possible to go alpine skiing or snowboarding from one of the many mountain-peaks! Just imagine the scenery on a clear winter-day – It is truly breathtaking.

Always remember to be safe when embarking on winter activities in the mountains. Here at Senja there are many places which are safe to visit, but regarding the areas with danger of avalanches, remember to check the website www.varsom.no to ensure you are not entering into a dangerous area.

What can you find at our accommodation?

Here at our camp you can find a fire pit and grill houses, kiosk and many nice places for a picnic. There are also great fishing opportunities during the summer, and we also offer boat rental, bike rental and rental of snowshoes during the winter. From summer 2023 we also rent out SUP-boards.

How can you get to our Accommodation

We are close to Tromso. If you travel by car, you can either take the car- ferry from Brensholmen to Botnhamn, which  takes less than 2 hours total. Or you can drive around through the mainland(E8/E6). This takes close to 3 hours.

If you travel without a car, you can easily travel by passenger ferry from the center of Tromsø to either Lysnes (only monday,wednesday and friday), or Finnsnes (every day).

Lysnes is the port closest to us, only 5 min. Here we offer free pick-up service if there is no bus connection (also included in the boat ticket) From Finnsnes we can also arrange for transfer if needed.
