Boat rental at Fjordbotn

Our boats are 18 feet Sting-boats with 40 and 50 HP engine, fish-finder/echo-sounder, GPS and AIS-tracking. These are steady boats wich suits for 4 people fishing.

Prices 1-3 days: NOK 1400,- per day, incl. Life-wests (exl. Gasolin)

Prices over 3 days: NOK 1200,- per day, incl. Life-wests( exl. Gasolin)

Fishing equipement: from NOK 200,- per set.

Deep sea fishing

The waters surrounding Senja-island has through centuries been the main source to food and to make a living for the people  along the hard coastline in this part of northern Norway. The fjord «Stønnesbotn» is one of several fjords in the north side of Senja which is specially good for fishing. The fjords ends up in the fjord called Malangen which also is well-known for good fishing.

Typical types of fish is cod, coalfish(saithe), haddock, halibut, redfish and catfish, salmon and sea-trout.

Mars and April is the main season for Skrei(cod), at this time they come into the fjords to reproduce. In the summer there is often big amounts of big-sized coalfish(saithe), but all season you can catch any kind of fish.

If you are born after 1 of January 1980, a motorboat certificate is required to operate our boats.
Weather conditions may stop any kind of fishing at sea.

Fjordbotn Camping is a registered fishing- tourism company and is legally obliged to send in all amount of  fish caught with our boats to Fiskeridirektoratet.
